Joy – where is it? It is right there! Yes, inside you! Close your eyes, and breathe deeply. Do you realize how great this moment is? Forget about everything that happened five minutes ago, or that grudge you’ve been holding onto for years, or all those items you have on your to-do list, just analyze the present. And what a perfect moment it is! If you are questioning this, you are probably thinking about another moment. Because the NOW is just right.
So, instead of focusing on why this moment is not perfect, or what you don’t have, think of what makes it so great, and what you do have. The now is the perfect moment to feel joy! No need to bring memories from the past (even if it is a happy one) or expectations about the future. Just focus on the now. Here you are, an amazing person, dedicating some much needed time for yourself. Find that feeling somewhere inside you that knows everything is fine at this moment. There is a bliss simply for being alive, feel it in your body. Maybe it comes from your heart, your head, your belly, or even from your happy toes! It doesn’t matter.
Let this good feeling permeate every single cell of your body. You might be able to spread this joy around your house, grocery store, workplace, or some other place you are headed to! Maybe you won’t have a chance today to share it with someone, but it will help you be a better person for sure. Allow it to happen at least for one day, and at the end of the day, if you feel great, hopefully you will make that a routine: allow yourself to truly feel the joy that already resides within you. And guess what will follow? You will attract joyful experiences towards yourself! Don’t you think you deserve this? We all do!
